Wellness-Center Hotel “Alla Rosa” (Canazei/ Italy) – just brighter!
Aesthetic and multisensory pleasure with changing chromatic performance – light that offers well-being – that’s the lighting project from the young designer Francesca Smiraglia.
The project has been developed following the color theme and its variations, in order to create a relaxing ambience using the chromatic beauty of the light in the Spa of a famous hotel in Canazei close to Trento.
Using LED fittings from SWITCH MADE, the swimming pools, emotional showers, relax zones and ceilings look exiting and animated due to the bright, pure and saturated colors, which identify and characterize all single areas by function.
The color reflections create a special sensation of integration of all zones and make a wonderful calming atmosphere. The predominant effects of light come from the pools and the ceiling, therefore from the ground to the top of the space; the combination of colors get perceived differently thanks to multiple nuances, ontrasts and reflections of shadings.
The punctual light, the only source of natural white, designs the passage from the reception towards the main swimming pool. The emotional showers instead, make you feel merged with colors.
In 2008 Francesca Smiraglia gets the bachelor in industrial design with specialization in Lighting design at the faculty of Architecture III of the “Politecnico di Milano” with a thesis on a Lighting Product Design System.
During the studies Francesca participates at various courses and competitions of product and graphic design at private and university level.
In 2007 she starts an internship at the company DANESE in MILAN in the R&D department improving her experience in Product Design for furniture and lighting fittings and working also as Lighting Designer. From 2007 till the end of 2009, Francesca collaborates with the architecture studio of Carlotta de Bevilacqua , annexed to the company. Now she is head of the Lighting Designer department at SWITCH MADE Italy (MI), specialized in LED lighting solutions, taking care of all lighting projects
