An absolute novelty in the splendid setting of Palazzo Martelli in Florence: the light-designer Marzia Paladino will present some of his great effect accomplishments in which ancient and modern merge and integrate exalting itself It is a series of cakes, like “american pie”, internally illuminated thanks to LED technology. The part of the pie that working as lamp looks externally like a real cake to taste. The combination of high Sicilian pastry technology and light is an opportunity to celebrate Christmas presenting sweet realization of sugar paste decorated by hand according to traditional sweets classic.

The LED creations made by Marzia Paladino make their debut in2008 with Fabrizio Villa’s “If these are men” and “Agathe”, exposed at Palace of Culture of Catania.

Follows the “Path of the senses” during “Enopolis” in October 2010 organized by the Italian Sommeliersat the Benedictine Monastery in the city of origin of the designer.

Marzia Paladino collaborated in 2011 with the Cultural Space Reba, always in the Sicilian town, in the occasion of the exhibition of contemporary art “Stop the 048 objects” about the recycling, with the artist Giacomo Failla “Archetypes illuminating”.

In 2012 participates in “Art Factory 02″, The Chimneys (CT), and the University of Catania, Faculty of Archaeology, performs “Imaging- imagining history antiquity”.

All LED creations by Marzia Paladino are protected at the Patent and Trademark Office, for the protection of the objects in the idea and in form.
