Lighting Design – Fundamentals and CAD – 11th edition

High education course of Consortium of Politecnico di Milano

The eleventh edition of the high education course, under the patronage of AIDI (Associazione Italiana Di Illuminazione), APIL (Associazione Professionisti dell’Illuminazione), ASSIL (Associazione Nazionale Produttori Illuminazione), ASSODEL (Associazione Nazionale Fornitori Elettronica) and ASSOLUCE (Associazione delle aziende italiane produttrici di apparecchi di illuminazione), will begin in October 2016 with the aim to introduce and focus topics related to Lighting Design.

Teachers of the course will be: Daria Casciani, Fulvio Musante, Maurizio Rossi, Andrea Siniscalco (Politecnico di Milano) and Elisabetta Scagnoli (Osram).

The course, is addressed to students (masters, graduated and undergraduate), professionals and technicians, commercial employee and people that work in the Lighting field.

The course is composed by 2 modules (Fundamentals of illuminating engineering and CAD for lighting, 42 hours each) with several lectures, practical application of CAD for lighting, in-depth examination of light sources (indoor and outdoor) and control systems.

Starting from the basics of photometry and lighting engineering, the course will teach to manage, in an appropriate way, the photometric data, calculation of luminance and illuminance levels for different application fields.

The course will be held in English language.
